Disability Rights Maine

Disability Rights Maine is mandated by the federal government to enforce and enhance the rights of Maine citizens with disabilities.

In response to the Maine Shared Community Health Needs Assessment, “DRM formed a sub-team on Health Equity, and this team is actively working to gather and analyze existing and new data in order to issue a public report that will bring to light what we believe to be a significant lack of equity in access to health care for people with disabilities in our state”
“We share MaineShare's commitment to social justice and human rights and MaineShare giving allows employees an easy way to provide charitable donations to organizations that resonate with them personally”
“Unrestricted funds like those we receive from MaineShare allow DRM to fill in these gaps and provide good, consistent service to the community or cover the administrative necessities that otherwise might not be an allowable expense.”
