This is a tragic and devastating time. The right words to say don’t exist during some of the darkest of days here in Maine. We all have been impacted in a myriad of ways, and I share my deep sympathy to the loved ones of the victims and solidarity with the communities touched by this terrible tragedy.
There is no manual for how to respond to trauma like this, and healing takes time. As we grieve and heal, let’s continue to take care of ourselves and each other. I encourage you to take time in community, as well as time of solitude and reflection, as it feels right to you.
