How does MaineShare benefit you?: Maine Hospice Council has long been a champion of social and environmental justice, health equity and social change, all consistent with MaineShare’s mission. We also have always believed in collaborative efforts to achieve these goals.
How does MaineShare benefit you?: We are an all volunteer organization and MaineShare donations have given us financial stability.
Recent Achievement: Improving Maine’s Clean Water Act protections to reduce stormwater pollution in Maine’s largest urban areas.
Recent achievement: Working with the Maine legislature to pass a first-in-the nation law to eliminate toxic PFAS from products we use every day (LD 1505).
How does MaineShare benefit you?: It offers more routes to varied sources of fundraising.
Recent achievements: In the last year, we have launched new adult education programming to help people of all levels get more comfortable on their bikes. It has been very fulfilling to provide this concrete programming that can make a tangible difference for someone in one day.
How does MaineShare benefit you?: Maine has such a wonderful community of non-profits, and any opportunity to be part of a program that supports multiple organizations is one we want to take!
