Recent achievement: Winning a full dental care benefit for customers of MaineCare.
Recent Achievement: No policy has a bigger impact on alleviating poverty than the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), which provides a tax refund to help working households make ends meet. Since 2000, MECEP [has] worked to make the credit fully refundable and to increase the EITC to 5% of the federal credit— more than doubling the credit.
Current priorities: Anti-racism work from a faith-based perspective, and speaking with the voice of faith for reproductive justice.
